Google Reveals the Most-Searched Beauty Brands of 2018

By December 12, 2018March 4th, 2020No Comments

This week several beauty writers splashed their beauty news columns with the reveal of Google’s beauty tracking of the top brands. According to People Magazine, the data is based from the Google Year In Search. These are the highest traffic searches from 2017- 2018, the search engine can analyze spikes of traffic for  highlights the most popular beauty brands of the year. These beauty companies include new independently owned, mass market, luxury and affordable brands that grew to popularity throughout 2018 with the help of influencers on Instagram, YouTube and Facebook.

According to Allure, Beautycounter came in first, a clean alternative beauty brand to all things beauty and wellness. Supposedly,  consumers are interested in purchasing clean beauty products. According to Beautycounter’s website, they have “prohibited the use of more than 1,500 questionable or harmful chemicals through “The Never List” — all while ensuring [their] products perform and that they’re as indulgent as any other luxe shampoo, lipstick, or oil in the market.”

With no question the second brand to be most searched was Charlotte Tilbury. This brand obviously deserves the interest and google analytic reward. This a brand that is on top of their game regardless of the influencer attentiveness. The writer of the piece from Allure, mentioned shocked, yet defended this- “Even if your fave didn’t make it, this list clearly has some amazing options, no matter what your style is. If you like your beauty to be bold and eccentric or you’re more partial to a neutral look, the top-searched brands definitely have something you’ll want to add to your stash.”

This is why I will defend why Beauty Dabble is not shocked, perhaps we needed something new to the brands that have graced most beauty lists for some time and are obvious. The awarded list below exemplifies timeless, hard work pros doing right on all social platforms, remind beauty consumers to be aware of our health, and are a direct example of success to the hard working beauty lover. No we are not shocked, this was a long time coming and well deserved. Thank you Google, and to the beauty consumer, dabbling perhaps properly.
