This past Thursday, COSRX hosted their first U.S based consumer event, The RX Labs and brought together guests Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Karrueche Tran, and Crystal Kung Minkoff for a panel and party to learn about the brands RX Line, to discuss their own skincare journey, and speak with dermatologists to understand their current skin behavior. Guests enjoyed specialty lab-themed cocktails while playing Jenga and Bag Toss and also got the opportunity to speak with the brand themselves for a custom skincare routine which they got to leave home with. Panelists included dermatologists Dr. Scott Walter and Dr. Andrew Park as well as esthetician Sarah Ford.
COSRX is a Korean skincare brand that specializes in solution-based skincare. The brand was founded in 2013. COSRX’s name comes from the words “cosmetics” and “RX” (meaning prescription).
Made famous through their viral Snail Mucin products which have become a fan favorite on TikTok and become a mainstay for skin enthusiasts across the globe. But not willing to settle, they formed the COSRX Consumer Research Center to tabulate consumer reviews, and feedback and analyze various skincare products on the market. They combed through research on vitamin C, retinol, niacinamide, peptides, hyaluronic acid, and other golden standards of skincare in efforts to create a skincare line that satisfies everyone’s skincare needs. COSRX dedicated itself to breaking down the preconceptions that good skincare should be expensive, and high concentrations are prone to irritation and are not appropriate for sensitive skin. Instead, they created The RX, a hypoallergenic collection, formulated with the highest possible concentration of active ingredients, all at an affordable price point. Based on clinical trials, The RX has been verified as effective and has won the love and approval of renowned dermatologists around the world. From lab to vanity, science meets skincare.
Adrienne Bailon-Houghton’s beauty staple is Vitamin C, specifically the COSRX Vitamin C 23, to keep her skin glowing! Vitamin C 23 works for brightness and dark spots. Antioxidant brightening booster with high performance for preventing early signs of aging. To help further with dark spots, The 6 Peptide Skin Booster Serum is not your run-of-the-mill peptide. Created with 6 peptides and synergistic ingredients to boost firmness, and overall skin conditions such as pore & sebum, fine lines, skin texture, skin tone, and soothing. The first step to skincare is to boost the efficacy of following The RX products. Speaking of controlling that nasty sebum, the Low pH Niacinamide Micellar Cleansing Water is a one-step cleansing solution that gently lifts makeup, SPF, and impurities without irritation. Formulated with niacinamide to clear clogged pores and control oil production. pH balanced to ensure the skin is not stripped of its hydration.
Crystal Kung Minkoff loves a good Retinol and uses it to keep her skin tight, and loves COSRX’s Retinol 0.1% cream. Used For anti-aging and acne targeting (sensitive skin). An irritation-reduced solution created with the optimal ratio of key ingredients for first-time retinol users just starting to notice the appearance of fine lines caused by dry skin. The perfect choice to prevent and correct early signs of aging before they set in. Another retinol product COSRX has is Retinol 0.5 Oil for diminishing the appearance of pores, and texture, and anti-aging (regular skin). No purified water or retinol derivatives. Formulated using 0.5% stabilized, pure retinol for powerful anti-aging care. Best for skin accustomed to retinol but still experiencing progressive signs of aging such as loss of elasticity and dryness. For intermediate-level retinol users looking for a highly concentrated, youth booster. Well, aging starts with prevention. Don’t miss the golden time to target signs of aging.
