These days, skin care is so crucial that it’s not just about having, glowing skin with few to no flaws, but also about being healthy skin. Dr. Sandra Lee is among the most well-known dermatologists. With her viral pimple-popping videos, and now her hit tv show on TLC Dr.Pimple Popper. She has become the go-to dermatologist who has seen it all. Now, she has started a new adventure in her career, the launch of the acne hormones campaign by Sun Pharma.
AH-ha! was introduced by Sun Pharma today and is joined by “Dr. Pimple Popper,” the campaign seeks to raise awareness of the role that hormones in the skin play as an acne-causing factor. Regardless of age, gender, or race, the campaign aims to draw attention to hormones as a significant underlying cause of acne. Up to 50 million Americans and 80% of adults in the U.S. have acne at some time in their life, making it the most common skin ailment.
According to Dr. Lee, she is “ taking part in the Sun Pharma campaign to help people with acne understand the crucial role that hormones play in causing the condition. I also want people to know that acne caused by hormones impacts everyone regardless of gender and can happen at any age – not just in teenagers.
The campaign includes graffiti-style imagery to profile more than 20 people at various phases of life who relate their personal difficulties with acne, as well as Dr. Lee’s professional comments and recommendations, while also showing their personalities, interests, and passions. The graphics also “bust” widespread misunderstandings about acne, such as the notion that it mainly affects teens or that it results from improper food, cleanliness, or perspiration, and they do this by utilizing “AH-ha” moments. This campaign helps individuals get a better understanding of a “norm” happening to many people in their everyday life. The campaign has amazing features like Q & A, skincare basics and the perfect tips when visiting a dermatologist. Acne is a fuss, but if we understand how common it is, it will help us also maintain a healthier routine to get our skin to become the best version of itself.
