This month is National Breast Cancer Awareness month and some of our favorite beauty brands are celebrating by having limited “pink” editions to spread awareness. About 1 in 8 U.S. women (about 13%) will develop invasive breast cancer throughout their lifetime. For women in the U.S., breast cancer death rates are higher than those for any other cancer, besides lung cancer. A woman’s risk of breast cancer nearly doubles if she has a first-degree relative (mother, sister, daughter) diagnosed with breast cancer. Less than 15% of women who get breast cancer have a family member diagnosed with it. To keep on top of your breast help, simply do self-checks on your breasts, get a physical regularly, and if you are over 40 and have a history of breast cancer in your family, get a mammogram once a year. Beauty brands are coming together to help spread awareness and donate to help support breast cancer research.

Thrive’s first product created was an eyelash adhesive safe enough for sensitive and immunocompromised eyes to use, specifically because she knew that women who had lost their eyelashes due to chemotherapy needed a product just for them. Their lash glue and false lashes are now some of their best-selling products and last month they launched a new Liquid Lash Extensions Lash Serum to help people safely re-grow their lashes. Gentle yet effective, this high-performance formula provides transformative results with lash-loving ingredients. Their vegan lash serum promotes longer- and fuller-looking lashes while conditioning and hydrating the eye area to help prevent irritation to the skin.
